The arcanum of the World came to the artist years before its energy materialised, a silent harbinger of the geographical change that would reshape her life. The peak of this force, however, was not limited to crossing borders: it became embodied in matter. It revealed itself in the dance rising from the dust of Siena and in the May heat in Rome, where the moving body and the wind in the skirts brought the arcanum’s choreography to life.
There, three bodies dance in a circle, representing past, present and future, entwined in the spiral in which each ending is a new beginning on a higher level. With one foot on the ground and the other in the air, ready to touch the earth in an unprecedented way with each step, the dance takes place in the totality of the present moment.
Contained within this sacred space, the arcanum’s energy invites us to live existence in perpetual transformation. It integrates dichotomies (the interior and the exterior, mine and yours) and calls us to the dance of particles that encompasses the whole. After all, being at home in the world is the crown of those who have learned to dance with their own destiny.
