Arcanaof theUnconscious

The exhibition is a journey through the artist's own rereading of the Major Arcana, and an invitation to the public to dive into the unconscious. The cards carry aspects that touched her life and her work deeply.

Concept

Tarot as image, not as oracle

The exhibition treats the Major Arcana as a symbolic field for contemporary painting, bringing together time, the unconscious, movement, matter and natural elements.

Process

Studies as a central part of the path

Sketches, tests, studio photographs, maps, notes and variations are integrated into the catalogue as stages of a consciousness in motion.

Biography

Vívian Amorim

The artist is from São Paulo. Her artistic path began in 2023, exploring symbolism and iconography within art, and card decks in particular. Her process rests essentially on the movement of the body in dance, and on how that movement can relate to symbols.

Her current work continues her research into tarot and the production of paintings and drawings drawn from her studies in symbolism.
