The exhibition explores the symbolic field of the cards, built from a sensitive combination of elements of nature and movements of the body and the mind.
Arcanaof theUnconscious
The exhibition is a journey through the artist's own reading of the Major Arcana of the tarot, and an invitation to the public to dive into the unconscious. The cards carry aspects that touched her life and her work deeply.

Studies at the centre of the path
The artistic process behind this exhibition begins in dance and in the study of the symbolism of tarot cards, taking artists such as Frieda Harris, Pamela Colman Smith, Xul Solar, Rodrigo de Haro and Bonifacio Bembo as references. That grounding meets the perceptions and experiences of each arcanum at different periods of the artist’s life, offering an immersion in the unconscious.

Biography
Vívian Amorim
Born in São Paulo and now based in Florianópolis, she began drawing in 2023, exploring the symbolism and iconography of tarot cards. Her artistic process today rests essentially on the movement of the body in dance and on how it can relate to symbols. Arcana of the Unconscious is her first exhibition.
Her current work continues her research into tarot and into the ways we understand symbols, both individually and collectively. Her background in Languages and Literature played an important part in that path, deepening her interest in understanding different languages.
The works are made in acrylic paint; the studies are made with watercolour and black felt-tip pen.
