The spinner does not seek answers in the world outside; she spins them, patiently, in the recesses of her own fertile solitude. This work captures the precise instant of insight, when the individual, isolated in their singularity, transforms universal human potential into a personal and tangible illumination. It is a meditation on self-creation and the wisdom that emerges from inner silence.

Here, one inhabits the task of unravelling, organising and understanding the tangle of one’s own experiences, complexes and lived encounters, through the thread of life brought down from above into the hands, to be worked consciously.

The archetype of the Hermit reminds us that the task of lighting our own fire cannot be transferred to another; either we generate our own light, or we walk blindly in the darkness of others. After all, the moment we project this responsibility onto an external figure — be it a religious leader, a politician or a guru — we lose ourselves.

Which thread have you been avoiding unravelling in silence?
