What is behind the mirror? This arcanum emerges from the depths, where shadow dwells alongside the radical solitude of being who one is. Seen from the side, the mirror reveals its dark, opaque reverse; around it lie the scattered fragments of a broken image. Immersed in darkness, a coloured body awaits the breaking of the structure that contains it.

Our totality always remains beyond what can be seen. The fragments find echoes in the jewels that run through other works in the exhibition. Here, darkness does not oppose light: it is also the substance of its revelation.

It is no coincidence that this is the last Arcanum of the exhibition. The artist needed to experience the paths that precede it in order to arrive here and hold her gaze before what this card lays bare. Inhabiting darkness is a condition for recovering what is most alive and multifaceted in our humanity.

This exhibition, like our process of psychological maturation, does not end when we find the light; it ends with the recognition that, as long as there is life, there will always be a need to look at what remains in shadow.
